READY TO GO?
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE IN A TALENT PROGRAM?
To gain self-awareness and to get new methods and tools for later use
It’s a unique opportunity to develop the organization and myself simultaneously
I can’t get a promotion right now, so this can be a steppingstone towards that
It would look good on my CV for further career opportunities
HOW DO YOU HANDLE YOUR DEVELOPMENT TODAY?
I see opportunities to develop everywhere, and I deliberately make use of those with high impact
I have my yearly 1:1 dialogue with my manager, but it is not that valuable
I am usually one step ahead, and I drive continuous development dialogues and activities with my manager
It’s been a while since I’ve experienced some kind of development at work
WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM A TALENT PROGRAM?
If the program isn’t a ticket to a new job or a promotion, I would be disappointed
I expect a solid framework and practical tools I can use as a development platform
I have more expectations towards myself - and my way of reflecting and acting – and less related to the program itself
I expect to be exposed to senior management and to get opportunities so I can grow
WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL COLLABORATION WITH YOUR MANAGER DURING A TALENT PROGRAM?
I expect my manager to book ongoing 1:1 meetings with me and take care of my development
I see it as a unique opportunity for us to develop the way we collaborate
I don’t think my manager is interested in playing a role during the program
I expect us to increase the frequency of our touchpoints, and I will take responsibility to make it happen
ARE YOU CAPABLE OF GIVING AN OBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT OF HOW YOU ARE PERFORMING IN ANY GIVEN SITUATION?
I would find that very difficult in almost every situation
Yes, I think I can do that accurately
I would find that difficult – especially from the perspective of other people
That would be somewhat true in some situations
HONESTLY, WHICH DESCRIPTION FITS YOU THE BEST?
I am quite good at structuring my yearly goals related to development, and I am good at involving my manager in the process
I am quite busy with my everyday job, so I don’t have that much time for development
To me, there is no distinction between my daily job and my development. They are fully integrated, so I learn a lot through my job
I like to make plans for my development, but I might not always follow through on those plans
HOW IS YOUR VALUE-BASED FOUNDATION?
I haven’t worked on my values deliberately, but it sounds interesting
I have started working on my values and what is important to me
I am very clear about what kind of person I want to be and the specific behavior that will support that in practice
I don’t see how my values are relevant to being part of a talent program
HOW IS YOUR SELF-AWARENESS?
I am very often right in what I do, but sometimes struggle to make other people see that
I believe I have a profound understanding of myself and how other people see me
I am working deliberately on trying to understand my strengths and weaknesses, and I use this knowledge regularly in my work
I think I know myself well, but I am not sure that other people quite see my full potential
